ECAC Common Evaluation Process (CEP) of security equipment
Security equipment meeting only an expired ECAC/EU performance standard
The use of security equipment configurations meeting an expired standard is not recommended to ECAC Member States from the expiration date set out in Doc 30, Part II (Security). EU Member States shall not use equipment meeting an expired standard only, in accordance with EU Regulations.
The following sections provide information for historical reference on the equipment configurations that were evaluated as meeting an ECAC/EU performance standard (STD) that has already expired (e.g. STD 1 for security scanners). Please note that the evaluation made, and the performance standard attributed were valid only for the configuration(s) of the equipment indicated in the table.
The lists for all categories of equipment with expired ECAC/EU performance standards (i.e., SSC, LEDS, EDS) can be downloaded via the links provided in the table below:

Note: This evaluation does not constitute an approval or certification of the equipment by ECAC. Approval or certification of equipment remains the responsibility of the Appropriate Authority for aviation security in each ECAC Member State.
