Biography

Nicolae Stoica is an engineer and graduate of the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Faculty of Aerospace Engineering - Propulsion Systems, with a master's in both propulsion systems and management and international marketing.

He has more than 17 years' experience in civil aviation at executive and management level, with responsibilities in accident and incident investigation and analysis, safety management and air operators in the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Safety Investigation and Analysis Centre as Director General (2012-2018), the Bucharest Airports National Company and the aviation industry. During his career, he has been an active member in high-level working groups such as: ICAO Accident Investigation Panel, EASA MB, ENCASIA at the European Commission, ECAC Air Accident and Incident Investigation Group of Experts (ACC) and many more.

In May 2020, he was appointed as a member of the management board of the CAA of Romania.
