High-level meeting between ECAC and WAEMU
Paris, 21 February - Following their participation at the CASE Project Technical Seminar in Brussels, a delegation of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) visited ECAC the same week.
The WAEMU delegation was led by Mr Paul Koffi Koffi, Commissioner of Department of Community Territorial Administration and Transport, and also comprised Mr Balogoun, Director for Transport in the WAEMU Commission, and Mr Bah-Traoré, Coordinator of the WAEMU Programme of Inspections and Audits.
They met with Ms Patricia Reverdy, Acting Executive Secretary of ECAC, and two of her collaborators, to discuss the current state-of-play of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in force between ECAC and WAEMU, since its signature in 2006. As a consequence, several future joint actions were agreed in principle during the meeting, mainly - but not limited to - in the field of aviation security.
