15th information session for security equipment manufacturers
Videoconference, 10 December 2024 — Ninety-four security specialists, including 80 manufacturers and 19 members of ECAC’s CEP Management Group, Technical Task Force, Security Forum and Threat Response Group joined the 15th information session for security equipment manufacturers in the ECAC Common Evaluation Process (CEP).
The meeting provided updates on CEP test programmes, 2024 developments, the funding model, and administrative fees. Participants were informed about the draft 2025 CEP work programme and 2025–2027 roadmap objectives. Martijn Koolloos (TNO, Netherlands) presented an overview of configuration change management request evaluations, while the ECAC Secretariat outlined the CEP testing process. Updates on the activities of the Technical Task Force, the Security Forum and the Threat Response Group were also shared.
Key discussions included tray equivalency, modular testing, simulants in approval testing, image quality test piece, and manufacturers’ contributions to ECAC initiatives.
