Aviation security at the heart of ICAO's priorities
Muscat, 9-11 December 2024 — The recent ICAO Security Week concluded with the formal adoption of the Muscat Declaration on Aviation Security and Aviation Cybersecurity. The event addressed key aviation security topics, including the role of Annex 17 in shaping the aviation security systems of States and the industry.
Discussions also focused on cyber security mitigation measures in a diverse and multicultural environment. ECAC Executive Secretary, Patricia Reverdy, moderated the first session, Flying Tomorrow: Enhancing Aviation Security for a Sustainable Future, setting the stage for conversations on the evolution of aviation security.
