Preparations for ICAO Conference on Alternative Aviation Fuels pick up pace
Videoconference, 21 August 2023 — The 62nd meeting of the European Aviation and Environment Working Group (Expanded) focused on the next stages of preparations for the ICAO Conference on Alternative Aviation Fuels (CAAF/3) to be held in Dubai from 20 to 24 November 2023. The strategy for preparations for the conference had been agreed by Directors General at their May meeting this year.
Members of the group reported on developments and agreed to the development of a proposal for a coordinated submission to the preliminary outcomes meeting for CAAF/3, to be held in Montreal in September, to be presented to Directors General for decision at their Special meeting in September.
The group also agreed a proposal for alignment and cooperation of the processes related to the common section for State Action Plans and the European Aviation Environment Report, also to be presented to Directors General for improvement.
