Videoconference, 1 December 2025 — Members of the European Coordination Group on Economic matters (ECG-ECO) met virtually to take stock of a busy year.
Much of the group’s work in 2025 focused on the 42nd ICAO Assembly, as well as – for some experts from ECAC Member States – participation in ICAO meetings of the Air Transport Regulatory Panel’s (ATRP) working groups.
The meeting also had an initial discussion on planning and coordination for the 7th ICAO Air Transport Conference, scheduled for 16-20 November 2026. For the first time since 2013, the conference will return as a high-level event. Members shared views on priority topics and the preferred format of the conference. These inputs will be communicated to Directors General to lay the groundwork for discussion at the next ECG-ECO meeting, including the possible development of European paper proposals.
