Helsinki, 17 April 2026 — Regional connectivity, ground handling and air passenger taxation were among the topics discussed at the 21st meeting of the Economic Working Group, hosted by the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications in April.
A session on financial stability provided valuable insights into monitoring approaches and managing sector bankruptcies, with experts sharing first-hand experience to enhance knowledge and strengthen capacity across Member States.
Looking ahead to their next meeting, participants agreed to explore the topic of regional connectivity in greater depth, recognising its importance as a central component of aviation sector resilience in a challenging global context.
