Belgrade, 4 December 2025 — On the sidelines of the 165th meeting of Directors General of Civil Aviation, five more ECAC Member States added their signatures to the Convention establishing the Bureau of the European Civil Aviation Conference.
Belgium, Greece, Portugal, San Marino, and Serbia joined the growing group of signatories, bringing the total to 16.
The next milestone is ratification — a crucial step that will bring the Convention into force once 22 Member States have completed the process. Those that have not yet signed still have the opportunity to do so before this threshold is reached, and the Convention will remain open for accession thereafter.
This momentum highlights the shared dedication of ECAC Member States to advancing civil aviation in Europe. It underscores a collective commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability, reinforcing ECAC’s central role in shaping the future of European aviation.
