Biography
Heike Seefried has been serving as Deputy Director General for Civil Aviation at the German Federal Ministry of Transport since 2025.
She studied law at the University of Erlangen and completed her legal training with the Second State Examination in Law in 1997.
Following the start of her professional career at the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment in 1997, Heike joined the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin in 2001.
Over the course of her career at the ministry, she has worked extensively on international transport policy and European affairs, including many years in the ministry’s EU Coordination Division.
