Biography
Maksim Et’hemaj has been Executive Director of the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) since December 2021 and has more than 30 years of aviation experience. Previously, he held senior roles at Albcontrol, including Head of Operations and Chief Technology Officer, and served as an air traffic controller from 1999 to 2021.
He represented the Albanian Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (ALATCA) at the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA) from 2001 to 2006.
Mr Et’hemaj holds a master’s degree in natural science from the University of Tirana and completed a Project Management Professional programme at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
