Videoconference, 23 October 2025 — ECAC’s economic experts convened virtually for their final meeting of the year, which also marked the first session under the group’s new chair, Päivi Jämsa (Finland).
The group reviewed the findings of the latest ECAC survey on air passenger taxes and agreed to focus attention next year on improving understanding of the various taxes applied across Member States. This effort will help support national decision-making and policy development.
The meeting served as an opportunity to identify topics for information sharing in 2026. This includes regional connectivity challenges, as well as State approaches to financial monitoring and the implementation of bankruptcy policy.
