Montreal, 21 and 22 September 2025 — ECAC President Alessio Quaranta and Executive Secretary Patricia Reverdy met with ICAO leadership in Montreal.
Discussions with ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar highlighted Europe’s commitment to supporting ICAO’s strategic objectives, advancing a safe, secure and sustainable civil aviation system, and contributing to the efficient implementation of its work priorities.
The meeting with the President of the ICAO Council, Salvatore Sciacchitano, focused on the Council’s evolution in recent years and priorities for a more resilient global aviation sector. The priorities for the 42nd Assembly were also among the topics discussed with Mr Sciacchitano, who will soon end his mandate after six years leading the activities of the ICAO Council.
